Family Practice Physicians – We are Specialists
Did you know……a Family Practice Physician is considered a specialist? A family physician must complete a three year residency program just like a Pediatrician, an Internist, or OB-GYN physician in order to become Board Certified. Then, to maintain board certification, a family physician must complete 600 hours of continuing medical education and pass an all day recertification exam every seven years. This continuing education enables family physicians to keep their knowledge base current.
Our family physicians specialize in offering comprehensive medical care, health maintenance and preventive services to you and your whole family. More specifically, some of our specialty services include:
- Obstetrics
- Physical exams
- Family planning
- Well baby and child care
- Vasectomies
- Skin lesions
- Sports physicals
- Travel advice
- Minor fractures
- Laceration care
- Cancer screening
- Exercise stress testing
- Hypertension
- Cholesterol screening and control
Developing a trusting and meaningful relationship with you and your family is why our family physicians practice family medicine. We appreciate the trust you place in us, and we strive to provide you with the same kind of care we would want provided to our own families.
